At Mama B's Greens, we believe in growing the freshest, most flavorful produce possible. That's why we use a state-of-the-art vertical, aeroponic farming system called Tower Gardens to grow our greens.

Aeroponic farming is a method of growing plants in air using nutrient-rich water, without the use of soil. This allows us to control the environment in which our plants grow, resulting in higher yields of healthier, more nutritious greens.


Our vertical farming system allows us to grow more food in a smaller space, using less water and energy than traditional farming methods. This makes our greens not only delicious, but also sustainable.

ABrief history of Mama B's Greens


Mama B's Greens was founded in January 2023 by Ned Bowen, a passionate gardener with a vision to revolutionize the way greens are grown and consumed. After years of experimenting with different farming methods, Ned discovered aeroponic farming and was immediately captivated by its potential. He saw an opportunity to grow the freshest, most flavorful greens possible while also reducing the environmental impact of traditional farming methods.


With the help of his family, Mama B's Greens has grown from a small backyard operation to a thriving vertical, aeroponic farm. Today, Mama B's Greens supplies restaurants and consumers with the highest quality greens available.

Mama B's Greens is committed to sustainability and giving back to the community. They donate a portion of their harvests to local food banks.

NUTRITION-CONSCIOUS AS A COLLEGIATE AND PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE

Having dedicated myself to becoming a Division I collegiate athlete I paid attention to the food I put in my mouth and the ingredients I cooked with. The organic label was not common when I was growing up so we ate as healthy as we found at the grocery store and rare farmers markets.


After college I moved to San Diego where my food exploration continued. I was introduced to smoothies, more varieties of fish (now being coastal), new fresh fruits (avocado and mango) as well as daily farmers markets.


The warmer climate encourages people to be outside more which paired well with a food- and health-conscious lifestyle. Adding beach workouts, jump rope, yoga and meditation to my daily exercises created more great days of feeling good.


As a special education teacher and lacrosse coach, I have been fortunate to live in San Diego, CA; Napa, CA; Oahu, HI; Denver, CO and New York City/Westchester, NY. These travels included a few cross-country trips which allowed me to learn about different cultures, climates and plants throughout our country.
